FedEx has opened a new facility in Brest, France, that will improve the speed and efficiency of pickup and deliveries across the entire Northern Brittany region.
The new facility includes the latest-generation automatic sorting system to enable parcels to be sorted and scanned more efficiently, reducing processing. This is supported by the facility’s location near local industries and small businesses and served by 29 pick-up and delivery routes, enabling earlier departures after processing.
The facility also has a more efficient sorting space of over 1,500m2 , dedicated offices, a customer reception area, a break room, changing rooms and a control room.
“We are delighted to share the news of our new facility opening in Brest, highlighting our ongoing commitment to investing in France,” commented Benoit Lambert, district director ground operations West France, FedEx Europe.
“It boosts our operational efficiency in the Brittany region, enhances the working environment for our employees, and improves the customer experience for businesses aiming for growth both within the country and internationally.”
