Omniva, an Estonian-based international post and logistics company, has announced that Mart Nael will become the organization’s new chief technology officer (CTO) and a member of the management on October 2, 2017.

Nael has led international technology organizations, such as Swedbank, Telia Estonia and Bigbank, and has extensive experience in technology governance in the fields of financial services, telecommunications and IT services. He has also been active in transport and logistics corporations, governmental institutions and in the startup field.

“Mart’s extensive experience in managing people and technologies and leading substantial international projects will definitely help to bring Omniva’s technology field to a whole new level. He will also be responsible for finishing up the creation of our new logistics information system,” said Ansi Arumeel, a member of the Omniva board.

“Logistics and technology is a truly exciting combination, which enables us to unite the physical and digital worlds in order to create a spectacular client experience. This client experience has become the greatest competitive advantage and the key to the company’s success. I believe dedicated and talented employees play the most central role in achieving this goal,” added Nael.

For the first six months of 2017, Omniva primarily invested in the development of a new information system for logistics, and prepared for the development of a new logistics center. The second half of 2017 will see the further expansion of Omniva’s parcel locker network and the continuing development of the new logistics IT system.
