John Pearson, who became DHL’s CEO Officer for the EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) region in 2008, has now been appointed CEO of DHL Express Europe.

Forty-seven year old Pearson, who joined DHL in 1986, is taking over the role from Ken Allen, who was acting European CEO. Allen will now focus on his position as global CEO of DHL Express.

DHL commented: “Pearson is now tasked with further building the company’s leading position in the international cross border shipping business in Europe. This includes operations in the UK.”

Roger Crook, currently CEO for DHL Express Americas, will succeed Pearson as CEO for the EEMEA regions.
