Posti cuts rates for sending small packages via parcel lockers by up to 17%

Finnish postal operator Posti Group has reduced the rates for sending parcels via its self-service channels, including the website, parcel lockers and mobile app, by up to 17%.

The new rates will see the cost of sending small parcels lowered from €7.10 (US$7.90) to €5.90 (US$6.60); medium parcels from €8.10 (US$9) to €7.90 (US$8.80); large parcels from €10.30 (US$11.50) to €9.90 (US$11); and extra-large parcels from €12.30 (US$13.70) to €11.90 (US$13.30). Furthermore, Posti will offer a smaller parcel size (XS) until the end of September for a fixed price of €5 (US$5.60).

Kati Nevalainen, head of services, C2C, Posti Group, said, “We are happy to be able to transfer the positive effects of our digital development efforts and self-service directly to our customer prices.”
