DPDgroup announces turnover of US$8.4n for 2017

DPDgroup recorded turnover of €6.8bn (US$8.4bn) in 2017, accounting for 28% of Groupe La Poste’s €24.1bn (US$29.7bn) turnover for the same period. In 2017, DPDgroup recorded an 11% increase in sales compared to 2016.

This performance was primarily driven by a 10% increase in parcel volumes year-on-year, bringing the total number of packages delivered worldwide to 1.2 billion.

Paul-Marie Chavanne, CEO of GeoPost/DPDgroup, said, “With turnover growth of 11%, DPDgroup consolidates its position as the second biggest player in the European express parcel delivery market and affirms its positioning as an expert in international parcel delivery.”

Highly active in all key European markets thanks to its own operations in 23 countries, DPDgroup recorded strong sales growth in France (+6.3%), the UK (+11%), Russia (+13.7%) and Poland (+18.3%).
