As an expansion of its 21-year collaboration with air conditioning manufacturer Daikin, Ceva Logistics is constructing a 27,000m2 warehouse in Tórtola de Henares, Spain that will support its customer’s growth plans.
The new warehouse, which broke ground in December and is expected to go into operation in the first quarter of 2027, is designed to optimize Daikin’s logistics flows.
Puerto Ahedo, contract logistics leader, Spain, Ceva Logistics, said, “This project represents a key milestone in the relationship between Ceva Logistics and Daikin. It not only reinforces a partnership built over more than two decades but also reflects our commitment to continue supporting Daikin’s growth in Spain in the coming years through a shared vision focused on the future, efficiency and sustainability.”
In addition to the construction of the warehouse, Ceva Logistics’ investment includes the implementation of advanced infrastructure and IT systems to enable more efficient inventory management and full product traceability. It also covers the installation of storage systems, the reconfiguration of the facilities to accommodate new operational layouts and the incorporation of office spaces and tailored solutions such as drive-in systems.
The new logistics center has also been designed in line with the highest standards of quality, efficiency and sustainability, and will be certified BREEAM Very Good, endorsing the integration of renewable energy sources, LED lighting systems, solutions for efficient water consumption management and the use of materials with a low carbon footprint.
