Bleckmann has expanded its UK operations with the opening of a new distribution center in Lutterworth, increasing its total footprint in the country to 420,000m².
The 70,786m² facility in the Midlands logistics ‘golden triangle,’ is scheduled to be fully operational by July 2026. It is one of the largest sites in the company’s UK network.
Bleckmann said the location will enable faster delivery times and improved service levels for clients, particularly in the fashion and lifestyle sectors.
The new multiclient facility will handle a range of product categories, including apparel, beauty, haircare, sports goods and accessories. The company said the site is designed to support flexible and scalable logistics operations tailored to different client needs.
According to the company, the expansion reflects growing demand for specialized logistics services in the fashion and lifestyle market, where customer experience and fulfillment performance are key factors.
Bleckmann’s existing UK network includes additional facilities in Lutterworth as well as sites in Swindon, Bury St Edmunds, Burton-on-Trent, Crick and Corby.
Bleckmann also highlighted the role of its UK network in supporting international brands, particularly those managing cross-border operations. The company said splitting inventory between the UK and European hubs, such as those in the Benelux region, can help reduce complexity in areas such as returns management.
“More than a service provider, our clients see us as a catalyst for the expansion of their UK operations,” said Tony Brito, cluster director for Bleckmann in the UK. “From customs management to returns, we work to remove obstacles to growth.”
The company said the additional capacity will allow it to expand its logistics offering for established global brands and smaller companies entering the UK market.
“This new mega DC reflects our ambitions to further develop our specialized offering,” Brito added.
