Users of the GLS Austria parcel service are now able to access A1-operated parcel stations, offering a contactless alternative to posting and picking up parcels at a GLS ParcelShop.

The parcel stations complement the existing ParcelShop network of over 800 locations in Austria. Currently, 40 of the 42 parcel stations operated by A1 are activated for GLS Austria with 32 in Vienna and Lower Austria, three in Villach, two in Innsbruck and one each in Graz, Leibnitz and Völs.

The expansion of the parcel station network by A1 is ongoing and further activation of more parcel stations for GLS is already planned.

“We are expanding our network to include parcel stations in order to respond to the increasing demand for contactless delivery and shipping options,” explained Christian Schöninger, MD of GLS Austria.

“The greatest possible convenience for our customers and environmentally friendly delivery concepts for the last mile are important to us. The A1 parcel stations ensure even more flexibility and sustainability in delivery. The cooperation with A1 fits perfectly with us and our goals.”
