FedEx has expanded its parcel pickup and drop-off network in Poland through a partnership with convenience store chain Żabka, adding more than 12,000 new service points across the country.
The expansion brings the total number of FedEx pickup and drop-off locations in Poland to more than 16,000. The company says the retail points form part of its global out-of-home network, which includes more than 360,000 locations worldwide.
Under the agreement, customers can now send, collect and return parcels at over 12,000 Żabka stores. The locations support small and medium-size shipments measuring up to 50 × 40 × 30cm and weighing up to 20kg. Initially, the service will cover domestic shipments, with international services planned for a later phase.
FedEx says the move reflects changing delivery expectations among Polish consumers, particularly those using e-commerce services. The company is continuing to invest in out-of-home delivery options alongside traditional home delivery to offer greater flexibility for sending and receiving parcels.
Mariusz Mik, vice president of operations for Nordics and Eastern Europe at FedEx, said, “Our expanded pickup and drop-off network in Poland gives consumers more choices, convenience and control over their shipments, while enabling our partners to build scalable, customer-centric logistics solutions.”
In addition to Żabka locations, FedEx already offers pickup and drop-off services at more than 4,000 other points across Poland. These include parcel and retail partners such as Kolporter, Epaka and Furgonetka, as well as selected stores within Delikatesy Centrum, ABC, Groszek, Duży Ben, Stokrotka Express, and Shell.
The technical integration of Żabka stores into the FedEx network was managed by Pointpack, a provider of IT and service infrastructure for the retail and courier sectors.
FedEx customers in Poland can also use the FedEx Delivery Manager platform to track shipments, adjust delivery preferences and redirect parcels to any of the company’s pickup points nationwide.
