EAE Solutions will deliver a turn-key sorting solution to Swiss Post‘s new sorting center in Urdorf, Switzerland, that will help the operator boost its network expansion and support its long-term growth and sustainability ambitions.

The fully electric E-Cross/Loop sorter will be able to process up to 9,000 parcels per hour, supported by three fully automated induction lines, including one with a roll-container tipper.

Intelligent automation system (IAS) cameras will detect non-conveyable parcels, while dynamic speed control (DSC) technology helps to reduce wear and tear and improve the system’s energy efficiency.

Visitors to Parcel+Post Expo, taking place at RAI Amsterdam on October 21-23, were treated to the launch of SwipBox’s new Infinity Flex and Connect models, which combine screen-based convenience with the simplicity of SwipBox’s battery-driven ecosystem.

The winners of this year’s Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards have been announced during a live awards ceremony at Parcel+Post Expo in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The ceremony, held on Tuesday, October 21, revealed who triumphed in each of the nine award categories.

Service Provider of the Year: Omniva

This year’s Service Provider of the Year award went to Omniva for its bold leadership in a transforming postal landscape. With a strategic focus on international logistics, PUDO services and digital transformation, Omniva achieved 64% growth in international business, which now accounts for 26% of its total revenue.

DHL Express Germany has awarded Vanderlande a contract to provide automation solutions – including the SPOX sorter – for its new facility in Cologne. The agreement was signed on October 21 at Parcel+Post Expo 2025 in Amsterdam.

This will be the first time this sorter has been installed at a DHL facility. Able to sort 6,000 items per hour, SPOX will allow DHL Express Germany to handle a mixed flow of regular and small parcels in the Cologne facility – including those as thin as 5mm.

Denmark-headquartered SwipBox has been producing lockers since 2012 and is showing its Infinity locker range at Parcel+Post Expo in Amsterdam.

The Infinity, which was launched in 2019, is an app- and PIN-operated locker with Bluetooth connection, meaning it can be used in areas where internet connection is poor.

In this video, the company’s chief commercial officer, Kasper Cort, and VP of business development, Brian Jonasson, share more details about the Infinity’s features and the learnings gleaned over the past six years that have informed the two new models being unveiled at this year’s expo.

Automation solutions provider Keba is showcasing its Loxmate parcel locker at Parcel+Post Expo 2025 in Amsterdam.

As the company’s Robert Zehetner, VP of logistics automation, explains in this video, the solar-powered Loxmate has a back-up battery inside and doesn’t need direct sunlight to work. For most installations, one to two solar panels are sufficient, but the solution can feature up to five panels for less sunny climes.

The lockers don’t require foundations as they come with a concrete pedestal, and thought has been given to combat glare from the sun to make sure the screens are readable at all times of day.
