UPS has announced several new projects in France that will expand its capabilities to support the cross-border growth of French businesses and European trade, including the inauguration of two new facilities.
The company has opened a new air gateway at Marseille-Marignane airport which features 1,300m² of operational space and sorting capacity of 2,500 parcels per hour. The site includes more efficient X-ray inspection systems and new loading facilities, improving service speed and reliability for growing e-commerce and export demands from southern France. The facility also offers businesses around Marseille a direct connection to the company’s European air hub in Cologne, providing faster access to markets in the US and Asia.
UPS’s new 7,200m2 parcel hub in Dax expands the company’s footprint in the southwest and will connect to its key hubs in Bordeaux, Toulouse and Évry.
In addition, UPS is also deploying an additional 30 IVECO eDaily P45E electric vehicles across France to support its sustainability efforts. Originally introduced for the Paris Olympics and custom-built to UPS specifications, these vans feature a fully recyclable polypropylene body, a 230km range and up to 14m³ of cargo capacity. According to UPS, the vehicles play a key role in advancing its 2050 carbon neutrality goal and promoting lower impact urban deliveries.

UPS has also launched a five-times-weekly flight between Paris (CDG) and Hong Kong (HKG) to support rising export demand from French businesses.
“These investments are part of the continuing evolution of our network in France,” said Michiel van Veen, UPS managing director, UPS France and Benelux. “They reflect our commitment to bringing businesses closer and offer an even better experience to their customers through state-of-the-art, interconnected and more sustainable logistics. Our mission remains to provide French companies with the logistics solutions they need to grow across Europe and beyond.”
