MetaPack has partnered with Manhattan Associates to deliver a webinar for retailers on meeting the increasing demands from consumers for same-day delivery, click and collect, and pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) services.

Craig Sears-Black, UK managing director at Manhattan Associates, a provider of supply chain management software, will join Kees de Vos, chief commercial officer at MetaPack Group, to discuss innovations that will assist retailers about to embark on same-day delivery and the best ways to ensure that it can be done cost-effectively. The webinar will take place at 2:00pm on July 14, 2015.

De Vos said, “This is a must-attend event for any retailer who has recognized the importance, not just of faster delivery, but also of free delivery and the competitive advantage that this will provide in terms of choice, convenience and flexibility. Retailers that can address this increasing demand from their customers will reinforce loyalty to the brand, but they have to understand the mechanisms available to do that and we will address this and more in the webinar.”

A recent survey released by MetaPack revealed that consumers aged 18-24 want fast delivery and on their terms, with 33% saying that it’s all about speed. The Delivering Consumer Choice survey found same-day delivery to be the most desired service, with 76% of respondents saying that it topped their wish list.
