Deutsche Post DHL Group and national postal operator Russian Post have reached an agreement that will lead to more reliable delivery times for international parcel shipments between Germany and Russia.
From now on, DHL parcels that are destined for Russia will be handed over in Berlin to Russian Post, which will then transport them to Russia and deliver them to the recipients. While shipments are simplified for Deutsche Post DHL through this agreement, Russian Post can better utilize its network with the growing volumes from Germany. The move is in response to rising parcel volumes resulting from the boom in international e-commerce.
In addition to the cooperation on parcel deliveries, the companies are also planning to collaborate on the international shipment of letters and mailed advertising material.
