Asda has launched a trial allowing customers to conveniently return George parcels at the same time as they receive their weekly shop.

Customers using the York and Milton Keynes stores can now return George online purchases for free by simply handing back their items to an Asda home shopping driver when they receive a grocery delivery.

The service offers customers who order via even more flexibility in the way they choose to shop, try and return George products. The trial makes  the process easier for those who may not be able to visit their local store, Post Office or parcel returns point. Customers receive instant confirmation of their return.

To be eligible for the service, customers need to be due to receive an Asda home delivery within the satisfaction guarantee period, and follow the normal returns process.

Emma Ford, senior director of operations development for online grocery at Asda, said, “We’re pleased to offer shoppers in York and Milton Keynes the option to hand back items they’re not completely happy with to our Asda Home Shopping Drivers, for a simple door-to-door delivery and returns service. We know that visiting a local store or collection point to send unwanted items back can be tricky if customers don’t live nearby or have the time.

“As we all get used to the ‘new normal’ online shopping is still extremely popular and this latest trial gives customers the convenience of doing everything from home.”
