FedEx has launched a series of webinars aimed at helping Spanish SMEs manage customs requirements and logistics challenges as they expand beyond the EU.
The program provides guidance on cross-border trade, recurring shipments and customs processes, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and navigating international markets.
According to Spain’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, merchandise exports grew by 0.7% in 2025 to reach €387.1bn (US$454.3bn), the second-highest annual figure on record. FedEx said this continued growth highlights the need for more efficient cross-border logistics and customs management as companies scale into international markets.
The webinar series consists of five sessions covering key areas of global trade and supply chain management. Topics include customs complexity in the Asia-Pacific region, optimizing recurring shipments, and using delivery as a competitive differentiator. Additional on-demand sessions address cross-border e-commerce and freight management.
The first live session, focused on customs challenges in Asia-Pacific, is scheduled for April 15, followed by a session on recurring supply chain shipments on April 22. A third session on delivery strategy is planned for May 20.
Teresa Martinez Meyers, marketing manager for Italy, Spain and Portugal at FedEx, said, “In today’s global trade environment, companies face increasing pressure to move faster, manage complexity and meet rising customer expectations.
“Through this webinar series, we want to support Spanish businesses with practical expertise that helps them make smarter decisions, optimize their supply chains and grow internationally with confidence.”
FedEx said the sessions are open to companies across industries and are designed to provide both strategic insight and practical recommendations.
