UPS has announced ongoing investments of more than US$2bn across its International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions businesses. The investments began in 2024 and will run until 2028; they are aimed at helping customers manage shifting trade routes, regulatory change and supply chain uncertainty.
Projects underway include a new hub at Clark Airport in the Philippines, expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2026; a new Canadian facility in Barrie, Ontario, in 2027; and a new air hub at Hong Kong International Airport in 2028. The investments also cover healthcare and other strategic sectors, including high-tech, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.

These investments allow us to bring air, ground, brokerage and distribution together in one solution, with fewer handoffs, more end-to-end control and less complexity. Combined with real-time tracking and proactive monitoring, we can handle even the most temperature-sensitive, time-critical and high-value shipments, whether across town or around the world.”
Recent investments include 27 temperature-controlled freight cross-dock facilities for air-to-ground transfers, a tech-enabled logistics center in Taiwan, an expanded Incheon air hub in South Korea, and a UPS Supply Chain Solutions facility in Amsterdam combining freight, brokerage and cold-chain services. UPS has also added capacity to its intra-Asia air network and increased flight frequency between Paris and Hong Kong, and Shenzhen and Sydney, to five times weekly.
UPS said its network offerings now include Saturday delivery in eight European markets, automatic Saturday ground residential delivery in Canada, and an expansion of its North American air freight capabilities, including a new time-definite heavy air freight service to and from Mexico.
