UK-based parcel shop network Doddle has opened its latest store opposite Surbiton Station in south west London, UK, and is marking the occasion with a special promotion. Surbiton customers who register with the company will be able to collect up to 20 parcels and send up to 20 parcels within the UK, for free, until August 17, 2015.

The new Doddle store will offer commuters and the local community convenient online shopping collection from any retailer, as well as UK and international parcel delivery services. It will also offer free returns of unwanted online purchases with Doddle’s retail partners.

Conveniently situated on the high street within eye line of the station, the new store is perfectly positioned to serve the 4.5 million passengers who use Surbiton station every year. Users of the service will also benefit from the new store’s changing room facility, allowing customers to try on their purchases in-store and return items on the spot.

Surbiton is the latest in Doddle’s store roll-out program which will see up to 100 stores open by the end of 2015 with plans to open up to 250 new locations by the end of 2017 – creating 3,000 new jobs.

Tim Robinson, Doddle CEO, said, “Online shopping is a really convenient option for a lot of consumers but the downside is missed deliveries and lengthy returns processes. We launched Doddle because we saw there was a gap in the market for truly convenient delivery and returns options.

“We hope the new Surbiton Doddle will make dealing with parcels a more convenient but also enjoyable experience for local customers.”

To make use of the new Doddle service, shoppers can sign up for free in store, at www.doddle.com or download the free Doddle app for iOS and Android.
