Logistics provider Cargus has announced it is rolling out a pilot of 300 SwipBox Infinity parcel lockers in Bucharest that will enable Romanian shoppers to choose the parcel lockers as a delivery option when shopping online.

The parcel lockers are the latest in a row of convenient shipping options offered by Cargus, including PUDOs and hassle-free courier services, and is a response to the growing demand for parcel lockers in strategic places close to end users.

“In these fast-paced times we need to take a step forward and adapt to the market’s new reality and demand, and the new Cargus lockers represent an important milestone in our development strategy. The lockers complete our national out-of-home network and offer an innovative solution to e-commerce businesses, local and international, and their customers. We are glad that we found a partner like SwipBox that can help us develop an easy, convenient, cost-efficient, contactless and sustainable delivery option,” said Olivier Van Houtte, CEO of Cargus.

“Cargus is in many ways an ideal partner for SwipBox. They – like us – are totally focused on optimizing the end-user experience. We’re looking forward to developing tomorrow’s solutions for the Romanian market in partnership with Cargus,” added SwipBox CEO Jens Rom.
