Bringing together leaders from postal operators, parcel carriers, leading solution providers and major industry publications and media, the advisory board offers valuable insights that will help shape Parcel+Post Expo 2026. Meeting twice a year, members will provide expert guidance to ensure the event continues to reflect the priorities and developments shaping the industry.

Omniva is expanding its Picapac private parcel locker pilot project to Viimsi, offering residents the opportunity to trial a parcel locker installed at their doorstep free of charge.

The initiative follows the launch of the pilot in February in the Rae municipality, including the areas of Peetri, Järveküla and Uuesalu. According to Omniva, the project has received strong interest from residents.

“We launched the Picapac pilot project in February in Rae municipality,” said Aleksei Kolesnikov, Picapac product manager at Omniva.

Australia Post is to offer free PO boxes for up to 12 months to people experiencing homelessness in Adelaide, beginning in March 2026.

The initiative will enable eligible individuals without a fixed address to receive mail securely at selected post offices. The service is intended to help people access important correspondence, including identification documents, medical information and housing or employment-related communications.

To qualify, applicants must attend a participating post office in person and present a referral letter from Toward Home Resolve at The Salvation Army, which provides housing and support services to people experiencing homelessness.

A consortium comprising Advent International, FedEx, A&R Investments and PPF Group has reached a conditional agreement on a recommended all-cash public offer to acquire parcel locker company InPost in a deal valued at €7.8bn (US$9.2bn).

The proposed offer of €15.60 per share (cum dividend) represents a 50% premium to InPost’s undisturbed share price on January 2, 2026, and a 53% premium to its three-month volume-weighted average price prior to that date. The transaction is expected to complete in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and shareholder acceptance.

The UK Post Office has begun a major upgrade of its Cash and Valuables in Transit (CViT) fleet, with the first new-build vehicles now in operation in South Wales.

On January 13, the Post Office’s CViT team in Swansea took delivery of three newly built vehicles, which will serve postmasters and commercial clients across the region. The deployment marks the start of a two-year program that will see 167 new-build CViT vehicles added to the fleet.

DP World has completed a self-driving vehicle trial in mixed traffic at its Antwerp Gateway terminal, testing autonomous transportation in an active operational environment.

The demonstration took place on January 22 as part of the PIONEERS innovation program at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and was developed by VDL Automated Vehicles. The trial focused on the movement of empty containers within a busy terminal setting where autonomous vehicles interacted with trucks and internal terminal vehicles.
