euShipments.com, in which Austrian Post owns a 70% stake, has acquired 100% of Slovakian fulfillment provider FHB Group, effective August 10. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

FHB Group will be fully integrated into the euShipments.com network, and the Slovakian company’s existing management team will remain in place following the acquisition. euShipments.com is already established in Slovakia through its subsidiary euShipments Slovakia, and the deal expands its position as a logistics partner for online retailers in the region.

The global parcel delivery logistics market is projected to reach US$822.12bn by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.3%, according to a new report from The Business Research Company.

The report attributes the projected growth to increased use of autonomous delivery vehicles, a stronger emphasis on sustainable delivery fleets, the expansion of same-day delivery services, and growing adoption of AI-driven logistics platforms. It also points to rising investment in smart logistics networks, automated sorting and routing systems, real-time parcel tracking, last-mile delivery optimization, and cross-border e-commerce logistics as key trends shaping the market.

PostNL has announced a redefined out-of-home delivery strategy, aiming to make locker and parcel point delivery as convenient as home delivery through an integrated platform and an expanded locker network.

The strategy connects delivery choice at webshop checkouts, the digital customer journey through the MyPostNL app, and the underlying logistics network, with the parcel locker network, which is set to expand to approximately 7,500 locations over time. PostNL said the goal is to make out-of-home delivery more attractive, easy and reliable for consumers and online retailers.

UPS is introducing a series of shipping enhancements aimed at SME customers, including new pickup management tools, faster label creation and expanded mobile app capabilities.

The rollout includes a new online dashboard for managing pickups with real-time status updates, a faster and more customizable shipment creation experience on UPS.com, and a redesigned mobile app that integrates with The UPS Store.

“We know small-business owners are masters at juggling priorities, but a complicated shipping process shouldn’t be one of them,” said Matt Guffey, UPS chief commercial and strategy officer.

DHL has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Venipak Group, gaining a fully owned presence in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The deal, subject to customary regulatory approvals, will see Venipak become part of DHL eCommerce, a division of DHL Group.

According to Venipak, it is one of the largest independent parcel operators in the Baltics, operating approximately 800 parcel lockers alongside an extensive pickup-point network, with established capabilities across both business-to-business and business-to-consumer delivery.

Etsy has become the first online marketplace to offer Royal Mail’s new postal delivery duties paid (PDDP) service for shipments to the European Union, following EU customs changes that took effect on July 1.

Royal Mail launched the service in response to new EU rules that introduced a flat €3 (US$3.41) customs duty on most business-to-consumer parcels valued under €150 (US$170) entering the bloc from outside it. The PDDP service allows duties to be calculated and paid at the point of postage purchase, to prevent customers from facing unexpected charges on delivery.

eBay is expanding its eBay International Shipping (eIS) service to the UK, aiming to help sellers reach more than 136 million buyers across over 195 countries and territories. The rollout builds on the company’s existing Global Shipping Programme and follows earlier launches in the US and Canada, with the UK service starting in August.

The enhanced offering protects sellers in the event of international buyer returns, alongside simplified customs, shipping and post-sale support.

Postal operators worldwide experienced modest revenue growth in 2025, with average group revenue rising by 1.4%, driven mainly by parcels, according to preliminary results published by International Post Corporation (IPC).

The 1.4% figure is an unweighted mean based on results from 33 postal operators, including An Post, Canada Post, China Post, Correos, DHL Group, Japan Post, La Poste Groupe, PostNL, Royal Mail, Swiss Post and the United States Postal Service. Comparative figures for 2023 and 2024 are drawn from the IPC Global Postal Industry Report 2025, based on a sample of 48 posts.

CEVA Logistics has announced the opening of a new large-scale warehouse operation in Derby, UK, strengthening its position as a logistics partner for global e-commerce brands. The facility is scheduled to go live in August 2026.

The 47,000m2 warehouse will handle the storage, handling and distribution of customer inventory, supporting faster deliveries across the UK. The operation is expected to create approximately 300 new jobs in the region.

The facility has been built with sustainability and efficiency in mind, featuring EPC A+ certification, a BREEAM Excellent rating, and a solar roof installation designed to support lower-energy operations.
