<p>This is the third time in recent years that the UK postal industry regulator has found Royal Mail to be in breach of its regulatory obligations. The post was fined £5.6m (US$7.5m) in November 2023 and £10.5m ($14m) in December 2024.</p>
<p>Ian Strawhorne, director of enforcement at Ofcom, said, “Millions of important letters are arriving late, and people aren’t getting what they pay for when they buy a stamp.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400">This year, the funding available to individual groups has been doubled to up to A$2,000 (US$1,315), with the total investment reaching more than A$290,000 (US$190,683). The initiative sees Australia Post team members nominate local not-for-profit community initiatives that address some of Australia’s most pressing social issues including mental health, disaster support and resilience, Indigenous children’s literacy, and environmental sustainability.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400">In four years of assessment, Whistl has risen through the grading system and is now in the top 5% of all companies rated by EcoVadis.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400">Nick Wells, executive chairman at Whistl, said, “I am delighted that our focus on operating ethically and sustainably has been rewarded by the EcoVadis gold rating.</p>

<p>FoodCloud works with a network of Irish charities, community groups and retailers to collect and redistribute surplus food. The vehicles, funded by the donation from DHL Supply Chain, are intended to improve the transportation capacity of FoodCloud, increasing its fleet from five vans to 11.</p>

<p>Aid aboard the FedEx Express Boeing 777 cargo aircraft included emergency medicines and supplies, including health kits, trauma and wound care items, chronic disease and chemical exposure medications and antibiotics. FedEx Express delivered this to Poland from the US via a FedEx humanitarian relief flight. This follows FedEx and Direct Relief’s first charter flight of aid for Ukrainian refugees in March and is the latest in a series of shipments from Direct Relief.</p>

The food boxes are being shipped to refugees fleeing the borders of Ukraine into surrounding communities in Poland, Moldova and Romania.</p>
